3 Easy Tips To Help You Drink More Water Today
Do you struggle with drinking the amount of water your body requires each day?
No worries, most people do.
But, did you know that not drinking enough water every day prevents you from losing weight?
Below, I’ll list three easy tips that can help you drink more water today to increase your energy, give you glowing skin, and promote weight loss.
So, how much water should I drink in a day?
Most research recommends drinking at least 8- 8oz glasses of water a day. I don’t know about you, but that rule of thumb is a headache. Another (easier) recommendation is dividing your weight in half. The number you get is what you drink in ounces.
Once you have your target figured out, work your way up to accomplish it by using these simple tips.

1. Add Flavor
Plain water can sometimes get boring and discourage anyone from drinking it consistently, so adding in a splash of flavor goes a long way. I enjoy squeezing fresh lemons and limes in my water daily. The taste encourages me to hit my water goal and plus the benefits of the fruit does my body and skin some good.
You can add in other fresh fruit such as; blueberries, oranges, raspberries, pineapples, or mango.
2. Marked Water Bottles
Marked water bottles are a personal favorite of mine. It’s a plus if the bottle is pretty and motivational. It’s encouraging to actually see how much progress you’re making throughout the day.
In my opinion, a 1 gallon motivational water bottle helps you keep track of how much water you are drinking and eliminates the sometimes frustrating guess work. You can be at ease every day knowing that you hit your water goal.
3. The 10-Gulp Rule
If this is your first time hearing about the 10-gulp rule; no worries. It’s not actually a thing. It’s a little something I made it up years ago.
Here’s how it goes: Every time you pick up your water bottle, you must take 10 gulps. No exceptions. It may not make a lot of sense, but it works. Trust me. Before you know it, you will have hit your water goal for the day. And to add even more success, this method will also help make drinking water an easier, daily habit.
Progress is Progress..No Matter How Small
Creating new habits aren’t easy…at first. Some days you will hit your goals, and other days you won’t accomplish it at all. But, don’t give up. Lifestyle changes take time, so remember to be gentle with yourself and celebrate every step of progress small or big.
